It’s been crazy and stressful around here this past week.
On Saturday we took the Red Cross youth on their annual trip down to the beach for the day. We left our house before 6am and didn’t get back until after midnight. It was a long day, but the kids enjoyed and we had some great adult chaperones helping us out.
On Monday, one of my friends wanted me to come out and help celebrate one of our neighbor’s birthday. Her 21st birthday while her husband is overseas with the military. We took her out to a little bar/pub place and had a good time. I had one drink and drove and my neighbor seemed to really have a good time. An older couple at the bar enjoyed watching us so much that they paid our tab which was really nice. They told the bartender not to tell us until they left. We were so wild and crazy that we were home before 10pm.
My dad had another surgery yesterday to try and remove some of the blood clot. He was still in a lot of pain and since he is on his feet all the time for his job, he and my mom thought this would be a good thing to try. Still praying for him and hoping he is back to normal soon with no more complications.
Our place is a mess! I am going to finally be home long enough this Saturday and am determined to get it really clean.
And that’s about it for now. I am still messing around with the blog design but finally like it a lot better than the past week or two’s trial and (many) errors. Sorry if you visited and found a crazy looking page.
