things change….

We found out recently that we will not be moving to England.  We are disappointed, but now we have new things to plan and do this summer.

We are happy to be staying closer to family and friends.  We are looking forward to spending time at the lake with Andy’s family and meeting a new baby nephew . . . → Read More: things change….

new lens…

I got a new lens for my camera this week.  I haven’t gotten to play around with it much yet…but I can already tell that it’s a big improvement over the kit lens.  It is a 50mm F/1.8 that was recommended by my cousin, Jeremy, and several other photog people.  Thanks for . . . → Read More: new lens…

still can’t believe….

…that husband actually let me cut his hair on Monday night.  He is a little bit particular about his once every few week buzz cut.  It has to “feel sharp” enough to be a good haircut.  But for some reason, he decided to buy a clipper set at Walmart and asked me to give it a . . . → Read More: still can’t believe….

saturday in the city….

On Saturday, I was feeling the need to be out and about.  Andy’s back has been bugging him all week, so I left him home to rest and ventured up to the triangle area on my own.  I like the little town we live in, but every now and then miss the big city-ness . . . → Read More: saturday in the city….

saturday finds…

On Saturday morning, I got up at a halfway decent time and decided to check out a few yard sales.  I ended up spending $4.25 for 2 pairs of shoes, a shirt and a pair of shorts for Andy, a book, and a travel bag – not too bad!  And I just had fun looking around . . . → Read More: saturday finds…

It’s been crazy and stressful around here this past week.

On Saturday we took the Red Cross youth on their annual trip down to the beach for the day.  We left our house before 6am and didn’t get back until after midnight.  It was a long day, but the kids enjoyed and we had some great adult . . . → Read More: random things…

back to reality…

We spent the weekend here.  Relaxing at the lake with Andy’s family.

Now we are back to reality.

This week we are busy figuring out how to schedule our move.  Andy is stressing about UK visa stuff.  I am counting down the days until I stop working and can go visit my family and . . . → Read More: back to reality…

amazon.com love…

When we were at the beach a few weekends ago, I was playing around with my new DSLR and trying to teach myself how to use it better.  I also took my nice little point & shoot canon for quick and easy shots (and/or for Andy since he’s not too into the DSLR).  I think I . . . → Read More: amazon.com love…

ballgame with friends…

Sharing my macbook is not easy!  Andy has been taking it to work everyday to work on the website that he is building for the Red Cross and he leaves with it before I get out of bed.  I do have his laptop to use in the . . . → Read More: ballgame with friends…
